Friday 14th June – Sunday 16th June 2019

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes in the 24 miles  of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge includes:

To complete this route is to undertake one of the great outdoor challenges of the UK. It will be a tough day, but worth it for that feeling of satisfaction upon completion.

The scenery is dramatic and ever changing, wildlife abounds as do carpets of flowers encouraged by the nutrient rich soils of the Limestone pavement.

We start and finish in the sleepy village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale, from here we can observe much of the route that lies waiting for discovery.

Total Distance:  37km/24 miles

Ascent: 1381m/4531ft.

Target time: sub 12 hours.

Amazing scenery through the Yorkshire Dales.

Plan of attack

Friday 14th June

  • Get up North when you can!
  • Settle in
  • Pub & Dinner

Saturday 15th June – Let battle commence!

  • Early start
  • Do what we have to do to win!
  • Return, Recover & CHILL OUT
  • Pub & Dinner

Sunday 16th June

DO IT AGAIN (Joking)

  • Snooze
  • Pack up and travel home

Cost  = £75.00 for Project Active Tribe people / £90.00 for non Project Active People

  • The cost is just for the accommodation and once you book we cannot refund as this will affect the cost per head for others. However, please speak to us if you can no longer make or consider passing your place on to family or friends.
  • To keep the cost to minimum, please be aware that we will doing this with no official guide but as an-authorised event. The route is common sense to navigate and well marked. That said, if you would like to purchase a map in advance, please here
  • Transport – We will sort car share options nearer the time.
  • A recommended itinerary will be sent out nearer the time.
  • You will need to provide your own food and drink.
  • There maybe minimal additional costs incurred.
