Blenheim Palace Charity Fundraising Challenge

We are extremely proud to support Blenheim Palace staff in their upcoming fitness challenge,

Blenheim Palace are raising money for two important charities by completing 3,052 land miles in 24 hours. This mileage is the same number of nautical miles Lord George and the Oar Inspiring Team rowed across the Atlantic.

To do this all participants need to cover 127.2 miles per hour for the whole 24 hours, by cycling, rowing, running, walking or any other way to complete this challenge.

The 24-hour challenge will commence at 15.00 on Wednesday 20th March and finish at 15.00on Thursday 21st March.

Blenheim Palace will be raising money for two important charities:

The Starlight Foundation – The charity for whom Lord George and the Oar Inspiring Team rowed the Atlantic recently, Starlight brightens the lives of seriously ill children by granting wishes-of-a-lifetime and providing fun, laughter and entertainment to children in hospitals and hospices across the UK.

The Archway Foundation – Blenheim’s chosen charity of the year 2019.
Loneliness is an experience many of us go through at various points in our lives. Feelings of loneliness affect people of all ages and backgrounds. The Archway Foundation helps relieve some of the real distress caused by loneliness.

Project Active’s involvement was initially to discuss various options based on past events that we have run that would work. Then help Blenheim event organisers plan, prepare and to coordinate logistics.

We will be onsite to ensure smooth runnings on the day via the various fitness events, offering coaching, advice, guidance and motivational games to ensure all participants remain on track and the mission is successful.

Watch this space to how the event progresses.
